are three letter .org's with one number in them valuable at all? Are they atleast worth more than the registering price?

I believe without a shadow of a doubt that they are a good investment.
Any TLD that is going to be rare, get it while you can.
I just got four LLN .orgs off of ebay and I think that in a few years I will be getting a few grand for them, especially because I make everything into a site eventually and work on backlinksSmile

Sure, but I suppose it depends on the name really. Lots of organizations go by acronym names so they may want to buy them from you later.

The value is mainly in the use (or perception) and in the availability(or lack thereof)...as the posters above stated.

Once they are all sold out, the market value will increase, just as with similar .com,.net
. It may take a while to realize that.

. If you develop it, it will likely increase.

. If you find the right end user...the value will have appreciated.

Well, I'm not a professional in domains, but intuitively I would say that this kind of domains that you mention definitively can have a good chance, and can be sold for a good price. Many good .com domains aren taken, so very short .org domains can be very valuable to some organisations or persons.

Some TLD sold for over 100K. I would say that is a good investment.
