Anyone here happy with adwords?
#1
Hi

I was wondering whether anyone here was good at Adwords and has had a good return on their investment. I personally have never managed to do very well with adwords, dispite having relevant ads and high CTR (well good CTR I think, around 3%). None of my clicks has ever hade a sale.

Any success stories here?

I dont think adwords really pays back in these days. there are so many MFA site that your ads fall on them and get clicked illegally which does not bring any good customers

my experience is different than you guys, I like adwords because I got good response when ever I use it, it all depends upon the niche for which you are using adwords. it works well for non unique keywords

I recommend that you disable your ads from showing on the content network. I only show my ads on search.

OK, here I am again asking stupid questions because of inexperience. So Adwords go directly with the keywords you have in your content? Isn't it the same with Adsense from Google? Are both the same? I'm still not really understanding the whole advertising methods on the net... maybe I'll learn by doing instead of asking the experts here! But I hope a nice soul will be compassionate and tell me about it! LOL!

berlin, When a publisher (content site) displays AdSense ads, they are displaying an ad that someone created in AdWords.

So, when you want to be the advertiser, you goto AdWords and creat your text or graphic ad. You have the option to add 20 key words or phrases. Your ads display on search & content sites. (ie: adsense)

You can track clicks by keywords, ad campaigns..etc. THe most I had was .03% and I didn't quite like that. I spent $30.01 for a multitude of impressions, but only got 75 clicks. Out of those clicks... only 10 gave me a ROI. (return on investment)

Ahhhh!!! So basically they are the same ads, only change is the role you play, as a publisher or advertiser... Thank you so much!!! I guess then that the best way would be to be the publisher and display the ads other people created, right? I guess that woul give you more earnings! Am I right? Thanks for explaining David... I'm still in learning process!

It's my pleasure. Some of these things I have figured out on my own. Sometimes I do it intuitively, sometimes by asking questions like you have. Don't stop askin!

Well I never tried Adwords, but from feedback I heard it doesn't seem to be so good, all I know is that Adsense sucks!
