Is it my imagination, or are the values creeping up a bit on L-L-L domains? Don't ask why I get this impression, (because my memory is shot...and short) but I know I read something or saw a domain advertised lately that led me to believe that people are buying them....

What's everyone's thoughts on these domains? Any perceptions or experience out there on DS?

Looking forward,
Tanya
There's only so many, and especially on .com domains, they are at a premium. After all, even though they've offered other extensions (i.e. .biz) people still use .com most of the time.
Hope you don't mind me asking, but what are L-L-L domains?

It means 3 letter domains.

There really are no 3 letter domains that haven't been registered already and that's the reason why they're hiking up in price.

As for 4 letter domains, these are becoming rare too, but they're still available. In other forums, people suggest to buy some 4 letter domains and hold onto them, because they'll be worth alot more. Probably true, but I wouldn't hold onto them for too long or else you may be stuck with domains like xwer.com or qpgt.com that nobody will want...
About two years ago I went ahead and scanned through a load of four letter domains and kept the best ones (on .com and .net extensions). At the time they were worth very little over reg fee, and now they are in the low hundreds (some mid or high because they are dictionary names). I would expect the same to happen with non .com, net and org extensions, but probably slightly slower.

I'm not so sure about L-L-L, it looks terrible and it's a hassle to type. Mind you, you never know and each acronym has a massive amount of demand behind it.. I wouldn't be suprised if they do start to creep up, and the maybe accelerate later down the line if domainers catch on.

I think they are ALL GONE.
