Is there a definitive source on appraising domains? How do you know what something is really worth? I can tell what makes some stronger than others but is it just a guessing game? Virtual stock trading?
No, there's no definite source. I suppose the final answer is how much someone will actually pay for it and buys it, but otherwise, it's like educated guessing.

So are there certain rules that you follow to work out a guide price or does it just depend on instinct and being a good sales person?
So this does parallel the stock market to a degree...is there charting or other indicators or any printed material out there that people can refer to when entering into this field? How can you tell? Are there "blue chips" in the business?
