HELLO EVERYONE!

I already made some very good contacts on DomainSocial and we all seem to share one objective: to develop our Domainer experience and knowledge. I also found http://www.domainmonster.com to be a very valuable source of information, such as their Tagged Editorials:
http://www.domainmonster.com/editorials/...in_tagged/
http://www.domainmonster.com/editorials/..._slamming/

Another very informative site is: http://www.cscprotectsbrands.com/index.html

And BEWARE ALL DOMAINERS! THIS IS A MUST TO READ: http://www.cscprotectsbrands.com/pdf/029...earche.pdf

By the way!

£1 million expected for domain name today.

Richard Haigh, owner of £.com is expecting to reach more than £1 million when his rare domain name goes to auction today.
One of only two domain names in the world with a single symbol - the other with a euro - Richard, from Nottingham, UK, commented "whatever happens at the auction, its sale will change my life for ever."
Bought nine years ago, traditionally domain names are only allowed to use certain characters from the US Ascii character set, with a hyphen being the only special character.
Earlier this month the domain name, http://www.pizza.com sold for over $2 million.

SO WATCH WHEN YOU WILL HAVE THAT DOMAIN OF YOURS WORTH $1 MILLION!

All feedbacks and replies are appreaciated and will be answered!

Hi,

I will sure have a look at the sites you recommend. I joined just 2 days back and a visit here is now etched permanently in my daily to-do. I invite you to have a look at my posts and share your ideas.

Oh! the million dollar dream. I know there are hidden nuggets out there and the search continues.

Regards,
great post and good links, thanks!
that is awesome! i will save all those links!

I am glad you all appreciated this thread. Here are more incredible facts that I recently experienced and want to share with you all (and with ICANN of course!)
Last month I registered a few domains with name.com. Out of those, 4 were immediately "flagged for review" and "blocked" to my immediate access. It's only about 20 days later that I phoned support @ name.com and got them "unflagged". But in the meantime I discovered, to my greatest surprise of all times, that "portals" were created on the web with my domains!!! Unbelievable isn't it...since I never had access, at any point in time, to manage those domains in whatsoever way!
Furthermore, once "unflagged' I immediatly changed their DSN servers to another server in order to park such (never used nor activated) domains.
BIG SURPRISE again!...which confirms the fact that those existing "ghost" portals created without my knowledge or control were active! Because the computerized and immediate reply I got when trying to park those domains was: "ALREADY MONETIZED" !!!!!!!!
Name.com (and maybe other so called "registrars") are playing a very dirty game guys! Beware!

We will see what ICANN has to say about this!

Cool
Domains like http://www.pizza.com are extraordinary ones, yes.

But there are also very good domains which won't be sold for... a trillion, but including the necessary keywords, and being simple and short, can be marketed extraordinarly well.

You can buy a good domain for a reasonable price, and if you manage well your website, you can be very successful on the Net. In fact, in the long run, you can be as successful having a good domain about pizzas than having http://www.pizza.com.

But having a mediocre domain name will make much more difficult for you to be succesful. A good name to succed on the Ned is very, very important, but you don't need to buy domains like http://www.pizza.com for that.

All my best.
Very informative... nice posts
name.com playing dirty?
