I have sold a few on webmaster sites, and some on DN, never sold any on alternic or sedo.. at least not yet.
I never sold my domain before.
But i prefer afternice . Because my friend just sold a domain from there. He had really cool business there.
I haven't had the need to see a domain yet, although I'm thankful for all the advice just in case a need comes up.
And for how much were you actually to sell those domains for? Any significant profit at all?

I have sold a few on afternic.com also. Sales on Afternic tend to go to end users rather than resellers, which means higher return of investment on your domains.

I'm going to try this one. Thanks for the info Zach. One of the things that I appreciate about this web site is all of the information you are providing.
This past few months I have sold several names on Godaddy Tdnam. Some of them I did not want to renew and I received $50. or more for . The thing is they have a pretty good seven day auction.

Zach, I think the facts stated by you are off about a hefty fee. They take a very small fee for selling a name, about $5.00 for a fifty dollar name. Also it is free to list the names for sale. The only membership fee is $4.95 per year!.

I recommend them for buying names at that auction especially the ones that were expired. You can pick up names for about $10. and the only fee is for the expiring name to be registered at Godaddy for the years normal price.

But since it is difficult to find a place for seven day auctions, godaddys is a nice alternative.
