Hi everyone here. I noticed that is has become a common practice for big business entity to just register a whole series of major TLD (.com, .net, .biz, .org, .info ) when they wanted to register a domain name. This will help to sort of protect the business branding if they are going to use the said domain for ecommerce activities.

However, as individual domainer, would you also be doing the same? i.e. if your want to register a domain "mysite", would you also register :-
1. mysite.com
2. mysite.org
3. mysite.biz
4. mysite.net
5. mysite.info

Or you would just register some of it?
registering many prevents trademark dillution (and prevents your competitors from grabing your alternative domains).. although I doubt it serves any other practical purpose.
