Anyone tried Yahoo Domains?

When I was looking for a good domain, a friend of mine suggested that I get one from Yahoo. I was thinking about it when my cousin who subscribed from Yahoo told me not to. He was not really satisfied with the service and he had so many problems with it.

I've also heard bad experiences with yahoo. When you need help or advice they send you a "copy-paste" answer that usually has nothing to do with what you asked and customer service needs a lot of improvement.

I have most of my .com's there. for 1.99 a year, you can't beat it. Ive never had a problem with their service. You guys should try it.

Hi Zach,

I never tried to register at Yahoo, bad experience with some other service. Explored though! And read a lot between the lines and stayed away!

As for myself, I have 23 domains at www.name.com. A first year com/net/org is under $6 and info is $2.99 plus free Google Apps. Their control panel is THE coolest one. Support response is under 24 hours though I only required it once for an interrupted transaction. And they only sell names, so you and the control panel and the Google Apps - its a pretty slick playground.

Anyone with experience with their customer support? I'd like to know about the after-sales customer service at Yahoo. Good, bad? Fast, responsive?

for domainers I don't believe Yahoo is a save place to register domain. The company is too big for it. They have so much bussiness to do. It's hard for them to beat the service of godaddy, moniker, enom, etc.

I registered domain for some 1.99 first year..next year they automaticly charged me some 35$ !!
