Force is probably too strong a word,, but they can delay telling you, they can simply leave it shut down because of its potential..they have their ways. I bet that once they have you shut down they simply never complete the investigation, and you have lost your site. Thing is, I have no clue if being under investigation prevents you from opening another, but I bet it would. With the Egold owners, they are actually being indicted so I bet the treasury department could find some charge to process you with.

Thanks for the clairfication. You're right that you couldn't open another if you are under any type of investigation. All this just from a name that resembles gambling. Go figure.

It seems too risky. I wouldn't want to wonder when and if they are going to catch up to me. I would want my work to be legal. I don't have to look over my shoulder to see who is coming.

I agree, there are so many other ways to make money without worry about who might get mad at you.

Are they shutting down sites that are like bingo related? I don't really understand how in states that has no gambling laws you see bingo places. To me that is totally gambling. Not much skill.

If you have buyer for your domains, you can sell them now.
60 days apply to domain transfer, not selling.
You can push the domain to another acct. at Godaddy.
Just tell buyer to create acct at Godaddy if buyer don't have one.

I am recalling from my memory, so, check with Godaddy to confirm

You could probably still sell them. It just depends on how guilty you might feel selling to someone planning to use them in the USA. You could also keep them and turn them into self help sites for those with gambling problems. That way, if the government should look you have yourself covered, but then you also aren't making nearly the money you might have planned on making.

Well you could make it a self help domain for people with gambling addictions. I never thought about a Bingo domain being the same as a gambling site. Bingo is everywhere.
