How can I get organic traffic to a domain?
Posted by: rikoy - 01-06-2009, 11:56 PM - Forum: Search Engines and Marketing - Replies (12)

The recent Google PR update gave my site a PR of 2 much to my surprise. But I'm still struggling to get some traffic. I've tried everything to converts the 10's into 100's.
I've tried videos, social bookmarking, directory submission and so forth. Since I'm not in a position to invest on paid services, I'd appreciate any free methods suggested

Thank you.

Basic Concepts and Facts about Reclaim Certificate
Posted by: reclaimcertificate - 01-06-2009, 07:58 PM - Forum: Domain Discussion - No Replies

Reclaim is a performance-related promotion based on the level of qualifying redemption.

The Reclaim Certificate is a voucher given to the customer free with their purchase, the full cost of the promotion being borne by the retailer. Provided the customer adheres to the terms and conditions of the promotion he will receive a financial benefit at the expiration of the term up to 100% of his purchase price.

• How does it work?
• Why does it work?
• How do I claim?

What is Reclaim?

Reclaim is a performance related redemption promotion based on the level of redemptions.
The Reclaim Certificate is a voucher, which is given to the consumer free with his purchase. The full cost of the promotion being borne by the Retailer (Supplier).

Provided the customer adheres to the terms and conditions of the promotion he will receive a financial return at the expiration of the term between a GUARANTEED percentage and up to, but not exceeding 100%
Redemption means that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE, to reclaim your capital, WILL YOU BOTHER? No one will remind you

How does it work?

1 The Retailer (Supplier) pays to Reclaim a percentage of his selling price.
2 All payments are paid directly to an account controlled by the external board of trustee’s for consumer protection
3 The board of trustee’s then retains 80% of the amount received, exclusively to pay qualifying claims.
4 Independent professionals are employed to ensure
#NAME?
- The 14 day claims from Holders of the Reclaim Certificate are correctly registered
- The 28 day claims from Holders of the Reclaim Certificate are correctly registered
5 The benefit that would have gone to the Holders that did not bother to claim correctly is then made available to the Holders who did claim correctly consequently boosting the amount they receive from the guaranteed percentage up to BUT NOT exceeding 100%.

The Reclaim Challenge, WILL YOU BOTHER to claim!

Why does it work?
SLIPPAGE!

What is slippage?

Slippage is the number of people who don’t bother to claim

Important Tips and Reminders about Your Reclaim Certificate
Posted by: reclaimcertificate - 01-06-2009, 07:56 PM - Forum: Domain Discussion - No Replies

Cool
Now the first question is: How safe is my claim? Whilst the Reclaim Certificate is used as an incentive to purchase, stringent safeguards have been developed to ensure fair play and honesty to the customer in the transmission and handling of funds. All service fees are paid into an account, which is controlled by an independent board of trustee’s. Independent professionals certify the amount that the trustee places into the funds. Independent professionals also verify the amounts payable to qualifying holders who make eligible claims.

Reclaim is responsible for meeting your claim and not the International Bank. The Retailer’s (supplier’s) only responsibility is to pay the service fee. The International Bank is where the board of trustee’s places the funds.

In the circumstance that the claimant has died, the Reclaim Certificate and all its rights are not transferable and in the event of the holders’ death it shall be available for the holders’ heirs and successors.

Another important reminder is that the Holders Registration Section must be sent on a timely manner. Failure to do so means that you have not adhered to the terms and conditions of the promotion and you will not be entitled to make a claim. Always read and follow carefully the terms and conditions of the promotion as shown on the reverse of the Reclaim Certificate. Failure to do so will result in you NOT being able to successfully claim.

As a claimant, you are entitled up to 100% of the value shown on the Reclaim Certificate subject to the terms and conditions of the promotion. The amount in your Reclaim Certificate is guaranteed as yours.

Assuming that you adhere to the terms and conditions of the promotion the amount that you will receive at the end of the 51 month period is a GUARANTEED minimum (the guaranteed amount depends on the type of promotion) up to a maximum of 100% depending upon the number of holders who make qualifying claims. The amount remaining in the fund relating to those holders who do not make qualifying claims is added to the amount available to the holders who do make qualifying claims, thereby increasing your return from the guaranteed minimum up to a maximum amount of 100% of the value of the certificate.

It is also important to use a certified post. If there should be any dispute, by using certified post you have proof of postage. In case that you lose the original Reclaim Certificate, your certificate cannot be replaced and must handle these certificates carefully and in safekeeping.

In the event that you have to transfer to a new residential place during the period, we advise you to inform us so that we can update your address details.

There are times that Reclaim is not trading in 51 months time and on this instance, the claimant must not worry. It does not affect your claim, in the unlikely event that Reclaim are not trading in the future, the board of trustee’s and the auditors will administrate the claim procedure.

Once the company from whom you purchased is not trading in 51 month time, expect that all service fees are collected prior to the certificate being issued. If you have a certificate you are (subject to the terms and conditions) eligible to make a claim, regardless of the status of the Retailer (Supplier).

Hi Everyone,

I am one of those guys that should be somewhere, but can't seem to get the hitch untied. I now own over 130 great keyword-rich domain names and am very proficient in SEO and content generation, but I can't turn all that into cash (or haven't yet). Skills are great, but what are skills (or domains for that matter) without buyers.

Please help me learn an effective way to market what I have and acquire quality (selling) domains in the future.

Here's a link to my domain names

Domain was hacked - what can we do?
Posted by: backstreetviking - 12-30-2008, 06:09 AM - Forum: Domain Discussion - Replies (7)

Domain 21century-mp3.com, that belongs to a webmaster that I used to have link exchange with was hacked 1-2 months ago.

The ex webmaster - Maurice has no idea how this has happened. For a while he was hosted with the hacker`s company. The company is called fiber-projects.com and operated buy a dutch guy Dennis Steyfa.

Maurice called tucows and some other companies and they all said it was a legal transfer. There are 40+ webmasters who know that this is not true. We all know Maurice and used to be partners with him for more than 4 years. Because of the hacker he now had to buy a new domain name 21century-mp3.nu, but he lost approximately 15.000 daily unique visitors because of this.

I just e-mailed OpenSRS legal support and am waiting for their answer. Perhaps if all webmasters that know him would put some pressure on Tucows, we might get it back. Another option is, we pay this guy a visit

What else can we do? All suggestions are welcome.

Tomorrow, when I talk again to Maurice I will know some more details about this and will update the thread. Such things really piss me off. That could happen to anyone of us. :\
