Your not in the dark, Google has become abitratary and is geared to the big guy. They lost sight of the small guy except for trying to take there money.

The problem is they all read from a manual and can't think for themselves. If it's not in the book it's not a problem.

I've wondered how much attention Google pays to your site as in a live person reviewing your content, etc. and how much they evaluate it by the keywords and stats.

In the 30 day Challenge Ed teaches what I always thought about how Google views sites. New site have to make them notice them. They have to prove themselves. They don't want to know you until you make them stand up and pay attention.

That sounds about right and makes sense. Why waste staff time (and money) on rinky dink sites that don't amount to anything? Instead, use human hours on the sites than are drawing a crowd.

Aquarian, you are definitely in the right track when it comes to improve site content... I hope you keep having visitors and the people that will be interested in your stuff. Google can be overrated for the small guy!

One of the reasons AdWords has become so successful is by marketing to anyone. Look at their tie-in with Blogger, for example; they are clearly targeting the "rinky dink" sites.
