Thanks for all the advice, I have a much better idea of the options now. The external blog would make it very easy to include photos and links to video clips on youtube etc. I will let you know how we get on.

External blogs usually keep the main page a bit 'cleaner' looking as well but I have one page with blogger built right into the main page and it acts as a constant news update so there are definitely good ways to embed it straight in as well. Having an external blog is probably the easier option however.

Blogging is a way of writing an online diary or journal, some people write about ordinary things that are going on in their lives, some others write about a hobby or about a special interest. I think the word blog is a shortened version of web log. I probably haven't explained it very well, but you should find out more because blogging can be fun.

It's really easy to find a lot of blogs even just by typing 'blog' into a search engine and checking out some of the top sites that come out. They're definitely big news right now both in and away from the business of domaining.

if you do a search for a subject you are interested in and add the word blog you will find plenty of reading, the quality will be varied, but there is some good stuff out there,

I've found really amazing blogs around, specially stuff that is so funny, I cried out of laughter! So, just type in Google, for example and I'm sure you'll find millions of interesting stuff.

Yes, when you start reading blogs it can become quite addictive. I like to look at other blogs because it helps me to learn more about design and layout and it enables me to understand what works and what doesn't.
