Question on Domain Appraisals - domaineraddict - 04-11-2009 All Been domaining off and on for awhile but not ashamed to admit still a noob I'm sure this has been asked off and on before I have one domain I wanted to list for auction at godaddy I used a few free appraisal services such as nameboy and estibot Nameboy suggested the domain is worth about 8892 and estibot says the reg fee so when listing the seven day auction I put the starting bid at 10.00 and in the description the link to the nameboy appraisal Is this a good way to go about listing this will be the first domain name I listed for sale Talk to everyone later Also when listing is it best to keep my whois information private ? Question on Domain Appraisals - DomainAuctionsScript - 04-27-2009 I think basically all of the instant or free domain name appraisal services or not accurate. If you are serious about selling the domain name and getting a domain name appraisal, I would recommend asking some fellow domainers or pay for a professional evaluation. I prefer to leave all of my whois information public. I have actually made a few nice sales from people finding my contact information through whois |
