I just went in, and it took forever to load. I didn't like it on first impression. So I am still not deciding about it. Besides, my blog is very much for a specific audience...

I'm deciding against this one after checking out the site even further. Like berlinlife said, the site takes ages to load and doesn't look all that great. I could see some people enjoying the service but I wouldn't recommend it personally.

I have decided against it too, for much the same reasons. I looked at the site and I didn't really like the look of it, I don't think it is worth wasting my time on it.

Seems like the going opinion is that it might not be worth it. This is probably one of those sites to just take a wait and see approach.

Yes, that does seem to be the going opinion. I'm not sure about the slow loading responses though, because it wasn't slow for me. I just assume everyone has DSL these days. As far as the site being big, I have no doubt it will be just because it is from the same people that created pay per post, which is huge.

But, I also agree with what was said about "social networking" being a poor way to market a website or blog. Marketing is best done to a group that shares your interest instead of the general public.

I did have it load slowly once but yesterday it seem to load fairly quick. Maybe a lot of people going to the site is slowing it down?

Maybe but they really should be able to provide for heavy traffic if they hope to be a successful service. MySpace and Facebook are able to handle their population and I think that's one of the main reasons that they have ongoing success.

You got a point that they really should have it set up where it can handle a lot of traffic.

Slow loading can happen because of an overloaded server. It can also happen because they have high resolution graphics, images, and scripts. In the second case the load speed is effected by YOUR internet speed.

I don't believe it's their server. I've been to the website dozens of times and it has never loaded slowly. Seriously, maybe it's time to check into high speed internet.

I have tried registering my blog. Unfortunately, I did not meet some requirements. Anyway, my friend just registered her blog too and has been receiving some jobs from their lately. I do not know how it works but they call them opportunities or opps or something. I am not sure if my friend is getting anything from it so far.
