I was wondering how to form an internationalized domain name (IDN). I would like to know how to write an IDN in ASCII, so that I can register it.

Thanks

Using generic word / phrase in domain?
Posted by: triumph - 07-29-2006, 11:15 PM - Forum: Legal Discussion - Replies (13)

Can I use something like "Thebaystore" under the auspices that it is The Bay Store and not TH ebay store?

Does ebay have any rights to the domain name even if their name is in the middle but not an actual part of it?

I do not own this domain now, but I actually know someone who owned it a very long time ago.

What would it be worth today?

  Longest domain names

Hi

I am not sure what the longest domain name is, but this is for all of our members who are bent on SEO and on carefully placing keywords in domain names (and all of the discussions on the importance or unimportance of placing hyphens in domains, and so on):

Suprisingly, its a great resource site! Feast on domain length!

  Google Guessing Game?
Posted by: vicki2 - 07-29-2006, 07:18 AM - Forum: Search Engines and Marketing - Replies (17)

Guessing what google will do next is becoming sort of a cottage industry, and it's not only fun to keep up with but helpful as well.

I got an email from a service I subscribe to and there was a very interesting link to a UK developer/sleuth site. Mostly he just tries to work out what Google is developing. It's interesting:

So many of Web Hosting Directories?!
Posted by: llegent - 07-28-2006, 02:48 PM - Forum: Web Hosting - Replies (5)

Guys..oh guys, I reached yet another web hosting directory today. It seems that there has been an increase trend on this particular section for web hosting. One "weird" thing I noted is that these directories are often displaying link to those established web hosting companies like HostGator, iPower, StartLogic..etc

I wonder if those companies listed in these directories had actually paid for the "feature" listing and keep appearing in the homepage ??

  Using Avatars on Domain Social
Posted by: zach - 07-28-2006, 01:04 PM - Forum: Announcements - Replies (30)

Hi

I just wanted to say that you should feel free to use forum avatars. I noticed that a few of you have set profile pictures (which are visible when members visit your profile) but have not set avatars. I think that they are a great way to express yourself and sculpt your forum personality. So, I highly recommend that you set avatars. Cool

To set an avatar, you can upload one or link to one here:

If you have any suggestions or questions feel free to reply to this thread.

Thanks

Zach
