This is very good information to know. I thought with Yahoo things would be easier... We are getting one with Godadddy.com, but my partner insist that we register with another company, the one that will be offering the services for hosting. At least I know it is not Yahooo.

Sorry if I sound stupid... I have no idea how to push a domain. How do you actually do it? And why do you do it?

I have not sold a single domain as of current. I have only developed one site and I'm planning to keep it.

Hi agent orange! I am here, but I have no idea on what to do to push a domain! I am very new at this, but there are a lot of people here that can help you. I´ve learned few things that are very valuable for my little experience. Just be patient, someone will eventually answer your question. Sorry I can´t really tell you...

Hey agent orange

A push is basically a transfer to another account within the same registrar. So if you have a domain at godaddy, and you want to transfer it to someone else at godaddy, you push it.

Check out this thread:

Tell me if that helps?

Thank you so much Zach! You are a life saver. I'm sorry I didn't search before asking.:-)

Berlinlife06, as you can see I am a total newbie too. I'm learning a lot of things from this forum.

Thanks penguinmama for sharing this. Now I don't feel so alone. I worked for weeks to transfer a name away from GoDaddy and they made this huge deal out of it. The new host I wanted to use was very cooperative and kept saying it was done. A few days later, (Yes, days not hours) I would get a letter of failure to transfer the new host, citing that there was a problem with the old hosting company and for me to contact the old host. No reply was received from GoDaddy for multiple requests.

It's actually very easy to push a domain at namecheap. I pushed one domain yesterday. It isn't necessary to make a tutorial!
