I have an ideal for a new Domain Extension that would be for a nich market.
How does one go about doing this and could it be all my own or could other people start doing it if I did?
Thanks for the Help

Hmmmmm.
You might contact ICANN to find out how extensions are dealt with, but first, you might want to find out how to profit from the idea before you tell anyone about the details!

Just make sure you can register your idea or something before telling anyone! If it is the way you think that can be use as an extension, then you might get some money out of it! Good luck!

Thank you I will contact ICANN.
And yes,I want to find out how, if I can even profit from the ideal.
Is ICANN were I register it?
Any ideals on how to profit from it after I get it registered?

I would suggest making use of your favorite search engine...Google, Yahoo (or whichever).
Type in something like..."Register a Domain Extension"
See what results you get...that's a good place to start your quest...with some research.
I think contacting ICANN is a good idea, bear in mind, however, that they do not handle ALL extensions.
disclosure: I am not familiar with the process of registering a new extension.
