Problems registering .US domain names

Now that is interesting... What if I want to sell it and the buyer is NOT American nor has any interests??? When things like this are in question, I always think what my GF says: " You all THINK that America is the Land of the Free... Think again!"...

This reminds me of my employer who uses German banks. I think that they should do business with who they want to. Certain countries are harder than others. For instance, Cuba.

I imagine there are quite a few US citizens considering doing business outside of the USA, due to problems with the dollar.

Has anyone noticed if registrars are cracking down on US citizens purchasing non US domains?

That would be a very scary scenario. The U.S. should have guidelines, but not control over who owns what. We are suppose to encourage a healthy market, with things for sale from everywhere.

Basically many countries, the US included like to make sure you're from their company. Use the details of a friend from the United States and it shouldn't be a problem for you.
