Adsense Question
#1
I've only been messing around with Adsense since May, and I'm experimenting a little. I hope this question is in an appropriate area.

What I'd like to ask is how did I earn 1 cent on a day with only 18 impressions, 0 clicks, 0% CTR, and a Page eCPM of 30 cents?

I'm afraid at this point I only have a grasp on impressions and clicks. :o

I have noticed this too. Occasionally I still get a payout on days when I have zero clickthroughs. I believe some ads may pay for a display and not just for a click, perhaps.

Well, I do have the same questions! To me Google Adsense is a mystery! I see my balance growing little by little but I don't understand how does it really do it. So, like the Beatles, I n"Let it be"!

Yesterday I had 16 impressions, 1 click and 0 earnings. I think that's the first time I haven't earned on a day with a click.

Oh well, I'll keep on keepin' on, as Steve Miller says.

Do you actually check it out every day? I used to but not anymore! I feel like things grow faster and better when I'm not looking closely! But that's just me!

It is hard not to check your parked pages everyday. Some days boredom, other days it is like a pringles potato chip. I cannot stop at one check. Smile

I check it out pretty much every day. :o

It's part of the morning ritual of checking email, and other sites where I have content for view or licensing.

I do know what you mean about it seeming like it's more productive to not watch it closely, though.

I used to check really obsessively but now I prefer to wait a couple weeks to see the earnings pile up. It's nice to get those deposits in my checking account every month or two!

When you check everyday you get a chance to see the fluctuations that might develop patterns. Do you have a ledger where you review several months at a time? What do you do if you check one week and your stats are dim? Do you make adjustments?

If you're an Adsense publisher, you can run reports over days or months that show your earnings over time. Personally, I prefer just to monitor traffic with Google Analytics.
